Official Announcement: Expansion of Publication Capacity and Strengthening of Editorial Quality
The Editorial Board of the Jurnal Kesehatan Komunitas Indonesia (JKKI) is pleased to announce a significant milestone in the journal's development. Effective from Volume 6 Number 1 (April 2026), JKKI has officially expanded its publication capacity, increasing the number of published articles per issue from 10 to 15 articles.
This strategic expansion marks a new chapter for JKKI as we continue to grow as a leading platform for public health, community health, nursing, epidemiology, pharmacy, and related health sciences research.
The decision to increase our publication volume is driven by several key factors:
1. Surge in High-Quality Submissions: Over the past few years, JKKI has experienced a significant and steady increase in manuscript submissions from researchers, academics, and health professionals both nationally and internationally.
2. Reducing Publication Backlog: By increasing our capacity, we aim to significantly reduce the waiting time from acceptance to publication, ensuring that timely and critical research reaches the scientific community without unnecessary delays.
3. Broadening Knowledge Dissemination: The fields of community and public health are rapidly evolving. Publishing more articles allows us to accommodate a wider diversity of interdisciplinary studies, innovative methodologies, and crucia Ith policy discussions.
4. Enhancing Journal Impact: A higher volume of rigorously selected, high-quality articles will
increase the journal's visibility, citation potential, and overall contribution to global health outcomes.
Unwavering Commitment to Quality and Editorial Excellence
 
While we are increasing the quantity of our publications, JKKI remains deeply committed to maintaining and elevating the quality of our journal management and the scientific rigor of our published articles. We firmly believe that an increase in volume must never come at the expense of scientific quality, originality, or methodological soundness.
To ensure that our rigorous peer-review process and editorial standards are upheld under this increased workload, the Editorial Board has implemented the following strategic enhancements:
Recruitment and Addition of New Editors: We have expanded our Editorial Board by recruiting highly qualified Associate Editors and Section Editors with diverse expertise across our core scopes (public health, community nursing, epidemiology, clinical/community pharmacy, and health policy). This ensures that every manuscript is handled by an editor with precise subject-matter expertise.
 
We extend our deepest gratitude to our authors, reviewers, editors, and readers for their continuous trust and contributions to JKKI. This expansion is a direct result of the growing reputation of our journal and the high caliber of research submitted to us.

ICI Journals Master List
The "Jurnal Kesehatan Komunitas Indonesia (ISSN: 2503-2801)” has passed the evaluation process positively and is indexed in the ICI Journals Master List database for 2022.

Based on the verification of information on the functioning of the journal in 2022, the value of its parametric strength (ICV indicator) was calculated. ICV 2022 = 57.88.

The evaluation of the journal was based on the standards described in the indexation procedure, evaluation methodology and Predatory Journals anti-practice policy. Indexing in the ICI database proves that the journal meets the elementary requirements that are currently imposed on scientific journals
