Edukasi Kesehatan Penyakit Tidak Menular dan Senam Hipertensi pada Masyarakat Usia Dewasa di Desa Glagahwero Jember

Abstract

Penyakit tidak menular (PTM) seperti hipertensi dan diabetes melitus tipe 2 meningkat drastis secara global, terutama pada orang dewasa. Hipertensi dan diabetes melitus menimbulkan masalah kesehatan fisik dan mental, menurunkan kualitas hidup, serta meningkatkan morbiditas dan mortalitas pasien. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang hipertensi dan diabetes melitus serta kemampuan masyarakat dalam melakukan senam hipertensi di Desa Glagahwero Kecamatan Panti Kabupaten Jember. Metode pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi lima tahapan yaitu skrining, penyuluhan kesehatan hipertensi dan diabetes melitus, pelaksanaan senam hipertensi, pengukuran tekanan darah, dan analisis data hasil skrining. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa 54,06% masyarakat mengalami hipertensi, dan 94,6% memiliki kadar glukosa darah dalam batas normal. Hasil pengukuran tekanan darah setelah pelaksanaan senam hipertensi menunjukkan 43,24% dan 67,57% peserta mengalami penurunan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan bermakna rata-rata tekanan darah sistolik (p-value 0,000) dan diastolik (p-value 0,000) masyarakat sebelum dan sesudah senam hipertensi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini mengungkapkan pentingnya penyuluhan kesehatan untuk penatalaksanaan hipertensi dan pencegahan diabetes melitus serta pentingnya senam hipertensi untuk mengontrol tekanan darah. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penyuluhan kesehatan secara rutin tentang penyakit tidak menular khususnya hipertensi dan diabetes melitus, serta melakukan senam hipertensi secara berkala untuk menjaga derajat kesehatan masyarakat.
