Jurnal Kegawatdaruratan Medis Indonesia (Journal of Indonesian Medical Emergencies), abbreviated as JKMI, is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, case reports, research notes, letters, supplemental articles, and other scholarly works in the fields of emergency medicine, critical care, and disaster management. The journal is dedicated to advancing state-of-the-art theory and application by providing a platform for researchers, healthcare professionals, academics, policymakers, and practitioners to publish their findings, promote innovation and creativity, and share knowledge with the broader scientific community.
JKMI focuses on research and practice related to emergency and critical care interventions, acute disease management, and disaster response from local, national, and international perspectives. The journal welcomes submissions from researchers, health professionals, academics, and scholars from Indonesia and around the world on topics including:
Clinical and Medical Emergencies:
Acute medical conditions, trauma and injury management, cardiovascular emergencies, respiratory emergencies, neurological emergencies, toxicology and poisoning, acute abdominal emergencies, infectious disease emergencies, and other life-threatening clinical conditions requiring immediate medical intervention.
Critical Care and Intensive Care:
Intensive care unit (ICU) management, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, sepsis and shock management, multi-organ failure, advanced life support, critical care nursing, and critical care pharmacotherapy.
Special Population Emergencies:
Maternal and obstetric emergencies, neonatal and pediatric emergencies, geriatric emergencies, psychiatric and mental health emergencies, and other acute care issues specific to vulnerable or specialized patient populations.
Disaster Management and Emergency Response:
Disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery; mass casualty incident management; emergency medical services (EMS) systems; pre-hospital care; field triage; disaster nursing; and management of emergencies in both clinical and community settings.

Epidemic and pandemic response, community-based emergency preparedness, public health crisis management, environmental health emergencies, and health system resilience during large-scale public health emergencies.
Emergency Education, Training, and Systems:
Emergency medicine education, simulation training, clinical competency assessment, emergency department management, healthcare quality and patient safety in emergency settings, and health policy related to emergency and critical care systems.
