Sharing Policy
When submitting research to the Journal of Comprehensive Medical-Surgical Nursing (JCMN), authors are encouraged to deposit research data as a supplementary file or in an appropriate repository. Sharing data helps authors receive recognition and makes research easily discoverable by peers.
Core Requirements
Deposit: Use a relevant repository or upload as a supplementary file to JCMN.
Citation: Cite and link to the dataset directly in your article.
Statement: If sharing is not feasible, provide a clear statement explaining why.
Authors may adapt the following forms to match their specific research context:
1. Public Repository: "The datasets generated and analyzed during the current study are available in the [NAME] repository, [PERSISTENT WEB LINK]."
2. Upon Request: "The datasets generated and analyzed during the current study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request."
3. Included in Article: "All data generated or analyzed during this study are included in this published article (and its supplementary information files)."
4. Restricted Access: "The datasets are not publicly available due to [REASONS] but are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request."
5. Not Applicable: "Data sharing is not applicable to this article as no datasets were generated or analyzed."
6. Third-Party Data: "Data are available from [THIRD PARTY NAME]; restrictions apply. Data are available from authors with permission of [THIRD PARTY NAME]."
Several statements may be combined depending on the nature of the research.
