CrossMark, Correction & Withdrawal Policy

Content Maintenance & Correction Policy
CrossMark Policy
Applying the CrossMark logo is a commitment by the Al-Hijrah Indonesia Publisher to maintain the content published and alert readers to changes if and when they occur.
CrossMark, a multi-publisher initiative from CrossRef, provides a standard way for readers to locate the authoritative version of a document. Al-Hijrah Indonesia Publisher recognizes the importance of the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record to researchers and librarians and attaches the highest priority to maintaining trust in the authority of its electronic archive. Clicking on the CrossMark logo will inform the reader of the document's current status and may provide additional publication record information about the document.

Correction Policy (Version of Record)
Every article published, either in the print issue or online, constitutes the Version of Record (VoR): the final, definitive, and citable version of the scholarly record (see NISO, 2008).

The VoR includes:
- The paper, revised and accepted following peer review, in its final form, including the abstract, text, references, bibliography, and all accompanying tables, illustrations, and data.
- Any supplemental material.

Recognizing a published article as a finalized Version of Record establishes the expectation that it can be relied upon as accurate, complete, and citable. Wherever possible, it is our policy to maintain the integrity of the Version of Record in accordance with STM Association guidelines:
"Articles that have been published should remain extant, exact, and unaltered to the maximum extent possible" (STM Guidelines on Preservation of the Objective Record of Science)
Sometimes, after an article has been published, it may be necessary to make a change to the Version of Record. This will be done after careful consideration by the Editors to ensure any necessary adjustments are made following guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Belitung Raya Foundation operates the following policy for making corrections to the print and online versions of their peer-reviewed content.
Publishable amendments that affect the publication record and the scientific accuracy of published information receive a DOI and are published in print and online in the journal.

Manuscript Withdrawal

Manuscript withdrawal is strongly discouraged, it is a waste of valuable resources that publishers put. If the author still requests withdrawal of their manuscript, the following guidelines have to be followed

  • Manuscript withdrawal will be permitted only for the most compelling and unavoidable reasons. It is unacceptable to withdraw a manuscript from a journal because it is being accepted by another journal;
  • The author should submit a request to the editorial office as a letter signed by all authors stating the full cause that led to the step of manuscript withdrawal;
  • In a case where a manuscript has taken more than six months time for the review process, publishers allow the author to withdraw the manuscript without paying any charges;
  • If the manuscript is still in peer-reviewed process, the author has to pay 150.000 (IDR) per manuscript as a penalty of withdrawal;
  • If the manuscript is already accepted for publication, the author has to pay 400.000 (IDR) per manuscript as a penalty of withdrawal;
  • If the author doesn't agree to pay the penalty, the author and his/her affiliation will be blacklisted for publication in this journal;
  • Authors must not assume that their manuscript has been withdrawn until they have received appropriate notification to this effect from the editorial office.
