Hypertension is a condition in which blood pressure increases from normal limits caused by unhealthy lifestyles such as excessive salt consumption, obesity, smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages, and others. How to reduce high blood pressure is done by administering drugs and non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The method used in this final project report is a literature review by reviewing 1 international article and 6 national articles. The collection process uses the PRISMA method (Prefer Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis), and data analysis uses Thematic Analysis to test articles using compare, contrast, and criticism. Progressive muscle relaxation therapy significantly reduces blood pressure. Blood pressure decreases due to relaxation after administration of progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The authors state that progressive muscle therapy can be used as educational material and can be implemented as a nursing intervention in lowering blood pressure in groups or families with a history of hypertension.
2025-06-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bagus Dwi Cahyonohttps://ebsina.or.id/journals/index.php/jkki/article/view/549The Relationship Between Supplementary Feeding Consumption Made from Local Foods and the Nutritional Status of Wasting and Stunting Toddlers2025-08-24T07:03:16+00:00Siti Rachmahmawaddah.ners@gmail.comNurul Mawaddahmawaddah.ners@gmail.comRhisma Andini Ainul Rahimmawaddah.ners@gmail.com
Indonesia still faces nutritional problems in toddlers, especially malnutrition (wasting) and stunting, which can lead to the loss of a quality generation. The government has implemented a PMT (Supplementary Feeding) program made from local foods to improve nutritional problems in toddlers. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the consumption of PMT made from local foods and the nutritional status of toddlers with wasting and stunting. This study used a quantitative method with an analytical observational research type that used an ex post facto research design. Sampling used a proportional random sampling technique with a total of 43 respondents. Data collection techniques used an interview guide sheet, an observation sheet for changes in nutritional status in the form of weight data before and after the PMT program was implemented. The results of the study after conducting interviews with toddler mothers showed that the majority of respondents (58.1%) had consumed PMT made from local foods in accordance with the program's recommendations, and as many as 58.2% of respondents experienced an increase in nutritional status after being given PMT made from local foods according to the program. The results of statistical tests showed a significant relationship between the consumption of PMT made from local foods and the nutritional status of toddlers. Consumption of PMT made from local foods can improve the nutritional status of toddlers with malnutrition and stunting.
2025-08-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Siti Rachmahhttps://ebsina.or.id/journals/index.php/jkki/article/view/557SP6 Acupressure Point for Reducing Joint Pain Among Elderly in Jombang Regency2025-08-24T07:04:36+00:00Mukhamad Rajinmukhamadrajin@fik.unipdu.ac.idSiti Urifahsitiurifah@fik.unipdu.ac.idSufendi Hariyantosufendihariyanto@fik.unipdu.ac.idMiranda Dwi Sa'diyahmirandadwi.s@unipdu.ac.id
Joint pain due to gout is common among the elderly and becomes a major issue if not treated. The resulting pain can interfere with daily activities and affect the quality of life of older adults. Long-term pharmacological treatment can lead to severe conditions; therefore, non-pharmacological interventions such as acupressure can be beneficial for elderly populations. This study aims to analyze the effect of SP6 (San Yin Jiao) acupressure therapy in reducing joint pain among the elderly. This was a pre-experimental study using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 14 respondents selected through purposive sampling. SP6 acupressure therapy was administered twice a week for 5 minutes, involving 30 presses per session. Pain levels were measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test showed a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating that SP6 acupressure therapy significantly reduces joint pain in the elderly. This study supports the use of acupressure as a safe and affordable complementary therapy. Future research is recommended to extend the intervention duration and combine SP6 with other acupoints.
2025-08-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Mukhamad Rajinhttps://ebsina.or.id/journals/index.php/jkki/article/view/512 Application of Positive Affirmation Therapy to Improve The Quality of Life in Patients with Low Self-Esteem at dr.
